Adipurush: Kriti Sanon says she's extremely proud of Prabhas starrer, 'I hope it gets its due'

Kriti Sanon is the one actress in Bollywood having an exciting lineup of upcoming movies. She rose to fame slowly and steadily with her brilliant talent and excellent acting skills from Bareilly Ki Barfi to Mimi. Currently, she is gearing up for the release of the much-awaited film Shehzada alongside Kartik Aaryan. The film is set to release on 17th February after the makers changed the date to avoid a clash with Pathaan. Next in the pipeline is an adaptation of the Hindu mythology Ramayana with Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan. She will essay the role of Sita in Adipurush opposite Prabhas who will play Lord Ram whereas Saif Ali Khan will enact Raavan or Lankesh. Speaking of the magnum opus Kriti Sanon says Adipurush is a film she is extremely proud of and prays people will also be equally proud of it. She further added it is not just a film but way more than that and hopes the film gets its due. Kriti who didn't watch Ramanad Sagar's Ramayana thinks it is important to make such stories that are educational for kids. She feels for education vidual memory is stronger and to make kids know about this story is to have it imprinted in their minds. Adipurush courted several controversies immediately after its teaser release. People claimed that the movie hurts religious sentiments and was trolled for poor VFX. Facing the rage of the people the makers were forced to do some necessary changes in the mythological drama which resulted in the postponement of the release. Adipusuh was initially scheduled to release in January but makers pushed the date later to mid-year release. The highly-anticipated film is now slated to hit theaters on 16th June 2023.
On the work front, after Bhediya Kriti Sanon will now be seen with Kartik Aaryan in Shehzada a remake of Allu Arjun's Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Directed by Rohit Dhawan and produced by T-Series the Hindi version will release on 17th February 2023. She also has an action film titled Ganpath with her Heropanti co-star Tiger Shroff. Apart from these she will pair with Shahid Kapoor in a robot rom-com drama and has been roped alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu in The Crew produced by Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor.
